Facebooking On The Go Is Bad For Your Health
It’s bad enough that people are glued to their computers for entire evenings and weekends on Facebook, reading every single update, posting every mood, feeling, and bowel movement for the world to read about–and they do. But seriously, are you that addicted to Facebook that you had to install the mobile application on your cellular telephone, just so that you could read about your friend’s new nail polish, or their comments on the latest airing of “The View”?
Really, you’re putting yourself at risk by installing programs on your phone, because not only will you be reading updates and answering quizzes while you’re on the go, you’ll be answering comments and posting status updates while you’re driving, walking in traffic, or doing something else that would require your complete attention.
There are already laws being put in place that restrict the use of mobile devices while driving, but at least with a phone, you are talking while you are driving, looking at the road while you chat. But if you are Facebooking while you’re on the highway, it’s just as bad as text messaging, and the next thing you’ll be doing is typing in your health status on your Blackberry while the ambulance takes you and your mobile Facebook application to the hospital.
